The Geek Room COVID-19 Update (May 22, 2020):

First of all we wanted to thank all of our customers who have continued to support the store through this difficult time. It means so much to us. We won’t be going anywhere anytime soon and are prepared to fully reopen the store when the pandemic is over. However due to the increase in cases in the Omaha area we are increasing our precautions to protect our customers and community from the spread of this disease.

First, we have extended our suspension of in store gaming indefinitely, we will reopen our gaming space when it is determined by local, state, and national public health officials to be safe to do so. We will announce the reopening of our gaming tables on Facebook at least a week beforehand so be sure to keep checking back here for that update.

Second, until there is a statewide stay-at-home order closing all non-essential businesses, or this crisis passes, we will continue to offer curbside pickup.

Effective Friday May 22, we will be staying open a little longer for your in store shopping needs and curbside pickup. Our hours beginning Friday May 22 will be Monday thru Saturday Noon-8:00, Sunday Noon-5:00! There is still a limit of 10 people in the store at a time.

The gaming space is still closed to in store play until further notice.

We hope everyone is staying safe, staying healthy, and protecting themselves and the community by practicing social distancing, washing their hands regularly, and wearing masks and gloves when possible in public. We will all get through this together. Missie and I can’t wait until the day when we can again hear the pitter patter of happy gamers on the “hardwood” here at The Geek Room.
